Over the years, Cadmium Orange has become essential on my palette. Bold, electric, and full of life, it’s the perfect mix of warmth and energy. 🎇🎇 It sparks creativity, commands attention, and adds just the right touch of vibrancy—whether it’s buried beneath layers or making a statement on top. Here are three ways I love to use orange in my work.

Since I paint cloudy blue skies often, orange is my go-to underpainting color. It adds the perfect warmth and contrast. Click here to see it in action!

I embellished my original painting, “Square Biz” with orange pressed flowers sealed with TriColor Liquid Glass resin.

In this photo, I’m using Posca Pens (acrylic paint markers) to outline the subject’s Bantu knots and add shading details.
